Discover the Benefits of an Important Parent-Child Activity

Mommy and me swim classes are more than just swimming lessons; they’re a bonding experience filled with lifelong benefits. Let’s dive into the joys and advantages of these fun-filled classes, where every splash is a step towards stronger bonds and healthier lives.

Parent-Child Bonding

In the world of modern parenting, finding quality bonding time can be a challenge. Our parent-assisted swim lessons provide a prime opportunity to foster a deep and meaningful connection with your child. As you guide them through the water, sharing in their delight and triumphs, you’re creating memories that will last a lifetime. The pool becomes a canvas for your journey together, painted with laughter, trust, shared experiences, and of course swimming!

Water Safety

Water safety awareness and essential water competencies are crucial aspects of these lessons–ones that can’t be underestimated. Our Tadpole and Swimboree lessons lay the foundation for your child’s water safety awareness, equipping them with skills that could save their life. From learning to float and kick to understanding how to respond in aquatic emergencies, these lessons instill confidence and self-assurance in the water. As a parent, you also gain peace of mind knowing that your child is developing life-saving skills from an early age through baby swimming lessons.

Physical Development

Making waves in physical development is another remarkable benefit. The water isn’t just a playground; it’s a gym for your child’s growing body. Parent-assisted swim lessons provide a holistic workout that enhances coordination, refines motor skills, and strengthens muscles. As your little one splashes, kicks, and explores buoyancy, they’re fostering a healthy physical foundation. It’s not just about swimming, it’s about nurturing a body that’s ready to take on the water.

Explore our Swim Classes for Children Aged 3 Months to 3 Years

At British Swim School, we believe in teaching children about the basics of water safety and survival at an early age. That’s why we offer swim classes for babies as young as 3 months old, as well as infants, toddlers, and older kids.

Starting early can help your child become comfortable in the water and develop essential swimming skills that will last a lifetime. Then, as your child continues their swimming journey, our program follows a familiar and structured class format, allowing your little one to continue improving as they grow.

Tadpole: Water Acclimation, Ages 3 Months to 36 Months with Parent

The Tadpole program offers a perfect starting point for your swimming journey. This program focuses on helping your baby develop comfort, confidence, and enjoyment in the water.

Through water play, singing activities, and a nurturing approach, our swimming instructors guide your baby towards becoming comfortable in the water, fostering independent exploration and creating a strong bond between you and your child.

Swimboree: Beginner Water Survival, Ages 3 Months to 36 Months with Parent

Graduation from our Tadpole program is a prerequisite for enrolling in Swimboree. This requirement guarantees your child is comfortable in the water, facilitating a smooth and seamless transition to Swimboree.

In the Swimboree program, our swimming instructors provide personalized instruction for you and your child, delivering a well-organized curriculum of songs, games, and splashing. These fun and educational activities teach your child to be safer in the water. Your baby will gain fundamental swimming skills such as breath control and floating.

Seahorse: Advanced Water Survival, Ages 18 Months to 36 Months

Swimmers must then graduate from our Swimboree program before enrolling in Seahorse. This requirement ensures your child has established a strong foundation of water survival skills and is ready to tackle the challenges at the next level.

In the Seahorse program, your child will receive one-on-one instruction from their swimming instructor, independently. Our instructors will lead your child through a series of advanced swimming techniques and water survival skills, promoting independence and confidence in the water.

While parents do not actively participate in the lessons, you’ll still have a role in the Seahorse program. You can support your child’s progress by sitting on the pool deck, actively encouraging and cheering them on as they grow into safer swimmers.
