Our Cancellation Policy
We understand you may not recall all the details of our terms and conditions. To make the cancellation process easy and stress-free, here is a clear breakdown of our straightforward policy.
Ready to Cancel?
To cancel your membership, you must submit an electronic cancellation notice through the “Cancel account” tile on the British Swim School mobile app. This is the only accepted method. Cancellations are not accepted in person, via phone call, voicemail, email, or text.
Our Philosophy on Child Safety
We understand that you may need to cancel your classes, but we urge you to prioritize your child’s safety. Ending a child’s swim training before they are water-safe is a serious decision. Our goal is to ensure every student is safe in the water, and we hope you consider this before making a final decision.
Upon submitting your cancellation notice, you will receive an email confirmation within two business days.
A Few Important Reminders About Our Cancellation Policy
To cancel your enrollment, you must submit an electronic notice through our mobile app’s online form on or before the 21st of the current month. Verbal, email, or text cancellations are not accepted.
- If you cancel by the 21st: You will be dropped from the program after your last class for the current billed month. You will not be billed for the following month.
- If you cancel after the 21st: Your account has already been billed for the upcoming month. Your enrollment will continue, and you will be dropped after your last class of that upcoming month.
Makeup Classes
All remaining makeup classes must be scheduled and used before your drop date. They have no cash value and will expire on your last day of enrollment.
Student Safety
Our primary goal is to ensure every student is water-safe. If you are considering leaving our program before your child has achieved water safety, we strongly encourage you to continue their lessons with another swim school. Our commitment is to the safety of every child.
Taking a Break or Going on Vacation?
When planning a break or a vacation, it’s important to remember that consistency is key for a child’s swim training. To prevent a lapse in skill, we offer several options to help you maintain your child’s momentum.
Temporary Absences
For short-term absences like vacations or brief medical leaves, you can provide advanced notice through our app. This will automatically generate makeup classes, allowing you to reschedule the missed lessons. You can then take these makeup classes before or after your trip, ensuring your child doesn’t lose their skills.
Medical Leave
For a medical leave lasting more than a month, we recommend canceling your account via the mobile app to avoid future billing. Please also provide us with a doctor’s note for our records. When you are ready to return, a re-enrollment fee waiver will be provided as long as we have your doctor’s note on file from before your cancellation.
