Andrea has been working at BSS for over one and a half years. She’s had her first aquatic teaching experience here, but has always loved swimming. She has also worked with kids before, being a tutor and mentor throughout high school. She also participated in many volunteering opportunities, most notably MacTeach, where she taught violin, math, science, and English to elementary school students. As a hobby, Andrea likes to explore parks with her dog and enjoy everything Austin has to offer. She is best known for being a cellist, since she has been one for over 10 years and it’s always what people mention when they introduce her to others. One day, Andrea wants to produce a video that includes music and art.
Andrea likes to travel, and one of the best trips she’s had was in Guatemala, where she was part of a community service project team that raised funds for, designed, and constructed a building.
This year Andrea is a senior at UT Austin studying mechanical engineering. In her future career, she wants to work in engineering and project management, while still being able to travel and make time for other things that make her happy.
