British Swim School of Worcester is the perfect place for families with infants to begin learning how to swim. Our infant swimming lessons in Worcester use a gentle, fun approach that considers each student’s learning style, emotional needs, physical abilities and skill level. Since parents will be asked to participate in swimming lessons until their infant has learned to swim independently, we believe the learning experience should be equally as enjoyable for both child and parent!
Your child can enroll in swimming lessons as early as 3 months old and learning at an early age makes swimmers safer in and around the water. As a family activity, swimming can be enjoyed throughout Worcester and all along the Massachusetts coastline once children are skilled in water safety and survival techniques.
About our Infant Swimming Lessons in Worcester
Worcester families should expect a lot of songs and splashing while their little one acclimates to the water and begins learning how to swim! Our swim classes introduce infants to the water for the very first time through a structured program of songs, games, and fun to help to reduce fear and make learning fun!
Some of the skills we teach in our infant and toddler swimming lessons in Worcester include:
- Water acclimation
- Full gentle submersion
- Assisted (or independent) back float
- Jump in, rollover and float independently
- Independence from parent(s)
Once your infant has mastered the skills taught in our water acclimation program, they’ll graduate to our water survival program!
