We are so excited to kick off our new Student of the Month section. Each month we’ll feature a different student who has an amazing story to share. It’s a chance for you to get to know your fellow swimmers and for us to show how proud we are of our students.
Our first student of the month is actually no longer a BSS student because she just graduated! We are so proud of Abbey and all of the hard work she has dedicated to learning water survival and stroke development over the year and a half. While we’ll miss her and we’re sad to see her go, we are so happy that we helped her achieve her goals and we wish her the best of luck on her new swim team, the Hazelwood HEAT! Go Abbey!
Here are a few fun facts about Abbey, in her own words:
- I love swimming because it’s fun and I’m good at doing it and I like doing flip turns.
- My favorite place to swim is Shire Lane Pool in New Town.
- My favorite part of British Swim School is learning different strokes and swimming!
- My favorite stroke is freestyle.
- My favorite aquatic animal is a Penguin.
- If I could go swimming anywhere in the world, I would go to the salt water tank at Typhoon Lagoon at Disney World.
- My biggest swimming accomplishment is making it on to the Hazelwood HEAT.
- My biggest swimming goal is to win 1st place in a swim meet.
