Barracudas is the next step after your swimmer has mastered the goals of our Shark levels and is serious about wanting to be a better athlete!
We will teach your child to swim distances and increase their speed and endurance, while continuing to refine their skills. The elite club will push and challenge your swimmer to be the best that they can be. Our coaches are some of the best stroke development instructors and have a passion for getting their swimmers to be the best athletes they can be!
What are the benefits of being a Barracuda?
- Build up swimmer’s endurance- Swimming for 60 minutes is not an easy workout. Your swimmer will experience long distance workouts and will learn how to pace themselves when given the challenge.
- Perfect environment to increase your swimmer’s technique- Due to the extended time, our swimmers have more time to apply the corrections given by their coach.
- Increase your swimmer’s speed- Swimmers on Barracuda will participate in quarterly “swim meets”. They will be competing against themselves and will be challenged to beat their times each month.

We will hold tryouts to qualify for the Barracudas Team the first week of December, during which the swimmers must demonstrate the goals listed below:
- Backstroke 25 Yards
- Freestyle 25 Yards
- Breaststroke 25 Yards
- Butterfly 254 Yards
When?
- Monday, December 2, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

- TEAM PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Mondays:
- Blue Team 6 pm – 7 pm
- Red Team 7 pm – 8pm
Wednesdays:
- Blue Team 6 pm – 7 pm
- Red Team 7 pm – 8 pm
Saturdays:
- Blue Team 10 am – 11 pm
- Red Team 11 am – 12 pm
All practices are one hour long. Students will spend most of the allotted time in the water, but there may also be related activities and discussions that will take place outside the pool on deck.
What to bring:
All those who make the team will be provided with a Barracudas silicone swim cap and British Swim School swim googles. We suggest that our male swimmers wear a jammer and our female swimmers wear a one-piece bathing suite to help prevent drag. We will also have all necessary training aids at the pool.
TEAM TUITION
Cost: $59 per week for 3 one-hour sessions.
There will be no makeups for any practice absences. Students are encouraged to come to all three practices every week! Attendance of a minimum of two practices per week is highly recommended for continuous progress.
Head Coach
We are happy to announce that Mr Josh will be our head coach for Barracudas!
Josh is one of our senior instructors and has a strong passion for teaching stroke development. Josh has experience in a competitive setting and will assemble an amazing team of coaches/instructors that will help develop superstar swimmers into the competitive Barracudas they were meant to be.
We are super excited to see your poolside and hopefully have your super swimmer in our Barracudas Swim Team!
