We are excited to announce and introduce everyone to our new Aquatics Director, Hanna. Hanna has a lifetime of experience in the aquatics world, from competitive swimming to instruction and management of learn-to-swim and lifeguarding programs. We hope everyone has a chance to meet her soon on the pool deck, and look forward to the passion and expertise she will bring to our program!
In her own words…
“Hello my name is Hanna. I was born and raised in Kansas. Then, I moved to Palm Springs, Chicago, Austin and Dallas. During that time I was a competitive swimmer for 14 years before retiring at age18. I want to study genetics and criminology, and my goal in life is to be a genetics investigator and run my own company one day. I have been a swim instructor and a lifeguard for 5 years, as well as a manager at a lifeguarding company in Austin, where I supervised 25 lifeguards across 4 pools. From all of my time in the aquatics world I have learned that I adore working with children and helping them learn how to swim. I take my passion for the pool and try to implement that passion into all of my work. I hope to see you around one of our many pools!”
