“Hello students and parents, my name is Ann and I am so happy to have the privilege to teach you swimming and water safety. I live in Euless TX. I went to Indiana State University, majoring in teaching special needs, coaching, and athletic training.
I started swimming at age 3 and am still swimming. Growing up I wanted to be in the water all the time, I loved learning and having fun in the water. I took swim lessons, swam on swim teams through college. After college, I was teaching special needs students, while teaching swim lessons and coaching swimming. As soon as I could, I became a lifeguard and a water safety swim instructor through the YMCA and Red Cross. Since then I have been teaching and lifeguarding. I continued my training to be a lifeguard instructor so I could train others to be lifeguards. I continued more training to become a Certified Pool Operator so I could manage pool facilities. Now being certified with British Swim School, the pool is still my classroom, still loving it, having fun, and being able to spend hours in the pool. Other than swimming, I enjoy being outdoors, I love to golf and ride bicycles. I I enjoy watching many sports, football being on the top of my list.
I love teaching at the British Swim School because it is fun. It teaches in a great progression so students are comfortable, safe in the water, and learn great stroke technique. I look forward to swimming with all of you in the water!”
