Our Commitment to You

Lifeguard Course Description:

Our American Red Cross lifeguard training requires participants to complete an online, blended learning course and a two and half day in-person course both with classroom and water training.

This Lifeguard Certification Course provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

Our courses are designed and taught by professionals who are motivated to help prepare you for the many incidents that can arise simultaneously in, on, and around the water. This is done as we progress through the coursework as a class, in small groups, and, when necessary, in one-on-one training with your certified instructor.

Course Cost: $250

Lifeguard Certification Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age: 15 years.
  • Blended Learning includes 7 hours online and 19.5 hours of in-person training.
  • The online course must be completed prior to conducting in person training.
  • Swim 300 yards continuously using the breaststroke or front crawl.
  • Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.
  • Surface dive to retrieve a 10-pound object; return to the surface and swim on the back to the starting point; exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

BLS Course Description:

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross is designed for healthcare providers and public safety professionals and meets a variety of certification and licensing requirements.

Our BLS curriculum includes all standard scientific learning objectives necessary in professional resuscitation courses, but also allows students to develop their critical thinking, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills, and work on reflection and debriefing, which serves to strengthen their overall learning and work experience. In addition, our courses are modular and flexible, and offer medical directors, educators and Red Cross training partners the ability to tailor courses to their local protocols, and their students’ specific needs.

Designed for those who learn best in a traditional classroom setting, class participants attend lectures and skills sessions with other students in a designated physical location.

Course Cost: $55 at our facility or $65 Mobile ($400 minimum for mobile option)
