This is a terrific operation—wonderful teaching, flexible and personal service, real enthusiasm and dedication. The Holiday Inn pool in Hellertown is a perfect place for lessons. In just the first lesson, our grandson was able to overcome his fear of the water and really start to relax and enjoy learning to really swim.

British Swim School of Lehigh Valley places emphasis on both water safety and fun! My kids feel so confident in the water now, and I see improvement with their swimming skills each week. I would definitely recommend swim lessons with this team over any other facility in the area.

Great place for swim lessons, my 5 year old and 5 month old have grown so much, well priced and worth it. I love that it is in a group setting, also l that you get to speak to the owner of the company directly if any concerns, and he is very pleasant to deal with and so are the swim instructor’s.

The British Swim School exemplifies the epitome of professionalism, courtesy and respect. The instructors are eminently qualified, patient and provide an enjoyable learning experience. They are very flexible and accommodating by allowing for make up classes. My 5 year old always looks forward to his classes. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested.

Highly recommend all ages for British swim school. They treat my kids that are 9 and 5 years of age that started with zero experience of swimming with careful attention, very welcoming and patience.

We love our swim lessons with British Swim School of Lehigh Valley! The instructors are caring, encouraging and knowledgeable. My son has made a lot of progress! But they are also patient with him when he’s having a toddler meltdown. So thankful we found BSS!

Philip P.
Our son Cameron used them to start his journey as a swimmer. All of the instructors were incredibly kind to him and made it a wonderful experience! I highly recommend using them, especially if your little one is just starting out in the pool.
- Philip P.
Ian M.
Had an excellent experience with coach Adrianna! She was very patient with our little one, who was pretty resistant to being in the water. But she did a great job helping him have fun!

Valeria C.
We enrolled our 7 year old son at the beginning of June. Previously he only had the confidence to enter a pool with a life vest on. Before the end of summer he was jumping off the diving board, going down slides & swimming underwater without goggles. Love the team here at British Swim School & will forever be grateful for help.

Brenda S.
My daughter recently switched to the British Swim School because she wasn’t advancing in her previous swim school. We are so happy we switched! In a short amount of time, she has built confidence in the water and continues to advance each visit!

FAQS
Pricing varies based on how many lessons you take each week and the number of swimmers you enroll. For detailed pricing, please visit your nearest location’s webpage to find all the information you need.
Finding your level is simple. Select your nearest local pool and complete our online swim assessment. This fast tool matches the swimmer’s age and experience with the ideal curriculum level. Once matched, you can view current class schedules, select a convenient day and time, and register online. If you need assistance, our team is just a phone call away.
Safety is our top priority. Every swim instructor undergoes a rigorous vetting process and completes our comprehensive, proprietary British Swim School certification program. Additionally, our instructors hold nationally recognized certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid. This ensures you and your family receive expert instruction focused on water survival skills and life-saving techniques in every single lesson.
Our curriculum is built on a goal-driven, step-by-step progression where students learn at their own pace. Each distinct swim level features five clearly defined safety and skill milestones. Instructors continuously track performance during lessons to celebrate achievements. Once a student masters the five goals of their current level, they transition seamlessly to the next class tier without waiting for a new semester to begin.
We keep our class sizes small to ensure personalized attention and maximum water safety. Our water acclimation and toddler water survival classes maintain a strict 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio. As swimmers advance into our stroke development and pre-team levels, classes maintain a 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio. This guarantees a supportive, focused environment for every swimmer
Our specialized, year-round curriculum is divided into three primary programmatic tiers: Water Acclimation (building comfort and breaking water fear), Water Survival (teaching foundational life-saving floating and breathing techniques), and Stroke Development (mastering competitive swim strokes, speed, and stamina). Within these tiers, we offer targeted programs for infants, toddlers, kids, teens, and adults, alongside specialized adaptive aquatics.
Children can begin learning vital water safety skills in our infant classes as early as 3 months old. We firmly believe it is never too soon to introduce babies to gentle water acclimation. Our programs feature no upper age limit, meaning we provide tailored classes for every milestone—whether you are looking for toddler survival skills, youth swim technique, or adult swimming lessons.
