Let’s give a shout out to (Pictured from Left to Right) Lauren, Summer, Alex, Daryl, and Tommy. Missing in Action and very much missed at the taking of this picture is Jan and Kristina, rounding out our current Swim Instructor team. Alex Carpenter is the Aquatic Director and Leader of this group. Alex says, “Since I’ve come here, I’ve been focusing on bringing in people who really embrace working with kids of all ages in the water and bring high energy and sincere enthusiasm to their job. I’m very proud of our current team and look forward to continuing our mission which is to help every person, regardless of age and ability, become safe and happy swimmers”.
Each of our Swim Instructors either are, or are working toward, becoming Life Guard and CPR certified. Each goes through both training on-line and in the water to become certified in teaching water safety, survival, and swimming the British Swim School way. British Swim School has been teaching water safety, survival, and swimming ever since they opened their first pool in South Florida in 1981! Most of our instructors have a competitive swimming background, with several competing at the college level.
Most importantly, this team all loves our students, and really are making a point of focusing on ways to make our kids succeed. From the youngest babies, to teenagers and adults, we want our students to progress as quickly as possible. Everyone on this team continually looks to improve how they execute the British Swim School Swim Program. Alex says, “They really want to teach, and they really have fun working with the students and their families!”
