Important News About our RiverParc Weehawken Pool

Important news for our members who take lessons at our or potential members who are interested in our RiverParc Weehawken location. It is a good news / bad news situation.

The bad news first: As of December 15th, we will no longer be holding lessons inside of the RiverParc building. Our rental agreement allowed us to have lessons inside of the RiverParc building for this year, and after speaking to the Building’s Management, we will not continue with our lessons at RiverParc.

So what is the good news?

We were able to strike up an agreement with another building in Weehawken, Riva Pointe at Lincoln Harbor. After coming to an agreement with this new building (which is only 5 mins away from RiverParc) we decided to move our school to this location. OUR FIRST LESSONS IN THIS NEW LOCATION WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY DECEMBER 16th.

You may be asking yourself, what happens to my lessons?

Your lessons will remain exactly as scheduled. Same time, same day of the week. The only difference now is the change in location. We are simply moving your lessons from RiverParc to our new Lincoln Harbor location.

We have truly enjoyed working with the RiverParc building and thank them for allowing us to spread our message and begin teaching the residents of Weehawken to be water safe. We appreciate the accommodations they did for us and hope they feel the same way about us. We look forward to this new opportunity inside of the Riva Pointe building at Lincoln Harbor and hope our swimmers are too.

We understand the sudden change can be a bit much for some swimmers, so we’d like to do everything we can to help. On that note we are willing to do any of the following to help our swimmers:

1. Accept the transition to Lincoln Harbor (As a thank you for understanding and transferring to our new location, we will provide you with a class credit for 1 lesson)
2. Transfer to one of our other locations (We have created new classes in our Secaucus location La Quinta, our Jersey City location PS16, and our Bayonne location JCC, to accommodate for this change)
3. Drop from our lessons (We are willing to waive our 30-day cancellation policy for our swimmers that truly can’t make it to lessons anywhere other than RiverParc.)

A little about our new Lincoln Harbor location, Riva Pointe:

• Riva Pointe maintains its pool temperature around 85 degrees, so our lessons should always be as expected
• Riva Pointe has year-round heat, so parents can stay nice and warm during their children’s lessons
• The pool at Riva Pointe has a separate entrance so our swimmers don’t have to walk through the building in order to access the pool
• Riva Pointe does not have parking available. The parking lot at the Riva Pointe building is for Residents Only! Below you can see some of our current parking options

Parking options as of right now:

Again there is NO parking inside the building, all building parking is resident parking only.

Options are:

1. There is a limited amount of 2h free parking at the Sheraton/Jack Austin parking lot right next to the building
2. Weehawken residents can park for free at a parking lot across the street (Must have a Weehawken parking permit, which can be obtained here: http://weehawkenpa.org/permits/)
3. There is a garage across the street, which however is not free ($10)
