British Swim School of Greater Philadelphia, the pioneer of gentle, non-traditional infant and child water safety and learn to swim programs is excited to bring their innovative swim and survival techniques to the Bensalem area. Beginning August 19th a full schedule of classes will be taught inside the beautiful LA FITNESS* complex just across from the Neshaminy Mall.
Currently operating in BUCKS PHYSICAL THERAPY (Sports Rehabilitation & Aquatics) in Richboro, the school offers a full slate of weekday afternoon, evening and weekend classes. Small class sizes, warm water indoor pools, and gentle methods create a fun atmosphere that helps children learn serious skills in a comfortable environment.

The program is based on the simple premise that all children develop their swimming skills at their own rate and to that end does not run on sessions or scheduled courses. Each child is initially placed in a level based on age and swimming experience. The child will be graduated from that level and moved to the next level as they individually achieve the confidence and skills to do so, rather than when an entire class is ready to move on.
At its core is the sad reality that drowning is the leading cause of accidental death among children between the ages of 1-4. About 3,500 children in this country lose their lives each year alone. Research has shown that while parental supervision is always the number one safety measure, programs like those offered by British Swim School can help reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children in this age group. This has become the mission and the passion of this company, to help prevent these tragedies by offering a curriculum that educates children and adults in water safety and survival first, swimming skills next.
