At the British Swim School we pride ourselves on our water survival focus. As a result we believe it is crucial that children experience falling into water clothed, so they know what to do if this were to ever happen.
To simulate this experience, we host our “Survival Week”. During this special week of lessons, all our students are asked to wear street clothes over swimwear during their regular classes.
Being in the water fully clothed, but under the supervision of instructors, allows us to teach your child these vital water survival skills.
Your child will receive much of their usual lesson, but the instructor will also emphasize water survival, review key safety tips and simulate an emergency situation.
We really appreciate your support so that your child can participate. Parents are encouraged to participate too!
