Featured Student November 2019

We, at British Swim School, love working with people of all ages. Our infants and toddlers are always a joy and have fun playing while learning their valuable survival skills. Of course, our youth bring us smiles and hugs, and are always ready to jump in and work on their goals. We also have adults who come to us with specific goals and we are thrilled to be able to help them become safer, correct their technique, swim laps, work on skills for triathlons, or any number of other personal goals.

This month’s featured student, Casey, is an adult who came to us in the spring of 2019 with very specific goals in mind. He is working on his physical requirements to join the military. Lap swimming had not been part of his normal activities, and now he not only needed to be able to swim laps, but he had to make his laps within a timed requirement.

In just a few short months, Casey has learned the military stroke, and has decreased his time. It is no easy feat to cut your 500-yard time in half, but Casey, through hard work and training has done just that. There were those that told him in the beginning that as a non-swimmer, he would probably not make it through his requirements. It is very physically demanding, and mentally challenging. Casey was determined to work towards success, and has shown amazing improvement. Hard work, passion, and determination will steer him to completing his goals.

We commend Casey for his dedication, and look forward to celebrating his achievements. Our country will be stronger due to men and women like Casey!  Keep Swimming!!!
