At British Swim School City of Boston, our infant and toddler swimming lessons incorporate plenty of educational playtime to make learning comfortable and fun! For many, the water can be scary. This is especially true for infants and toddlers who may be experiencing the water for the first time. Our swim classes are conveniently located in Boston and incorporate songs, games and fun to help our smallest swimmers build a positive relationship with the water. In addition, your child will be introduced to important survival swim techniques, such as the back float, that help to prevent drowning or near-drowning incidents. While our infant and toddler swimming lessons are centered around fun, we emphasize water safety from the very beginning.
Some of the skills taught in our infant and toddler swimming lessons in Boston include:
- Water acclimation
- Full gentle submersion
- Assisted (or independent) back float
- Jump in, rollover and float independently
- Independence from parent(s)
Once your infant or toddler has mastered the skills taught in our water acclimation program, they’ll graduate to our water survival program!
