“I am an adult taking the classes and I went from no swimming to free style, floating, back stroke in matter of weeks. I would highly recommend it for adults. They work with you and help you adjust to the water and your swimming style.”

“Highly recommend British Swim School. My instructors give personal attention to my swimming asks and make learning engaging. I am an adult swimmer in my 50’s first time getting in pool, and I have seen big improvement in my confidence and ability in water. Can’t wait for my next lesson 👍”
- Ramani K.
“I’m an adult who can barely swim. Since starting in mid-September 2025, it has been phenomenal. I have learned many of the basics and have been given exceptional instruction to break my “bad habits”. The instructors are all great. Whatever stage of your swimming journey you may be at, British Swim School is your next move!”
- James L.
“The British Swim school is great for adult learners like myself. I struggled with my breathing techniques. My confidence in the pool has soared! I can now swim freestyle laps, which I now incorporate into my fitness routine :)”

FAQ
You are not alone, and this program is intentionally designed for nervous or hesitant adults. Many Adult Lane swimmers begin feeling unsure or fearful in the water, and that is completely normal. Lessons take place in a calm, adults-only environment, and instructors are trained to move at a gentle, supportive pace that prioritizes comfort and trust. There is no pressure to rush or perform. Instructors focus on building confidence first, meeting each swimmer exactly where
they are.
No prior swim experience is required. Adult Lane welcomes complete beginners as well as adults looking to build confidence, improve safety, or refine existing skills.

Placement is based on instructor observation and comfort in the water. Instructors continue to assess skills throughout lessons and adjust guidance as swimmers progress. Advancement is based on readiness rather than a fixed timeline.
Adult Lane classes are kept small, with up to four swimmers per instructor. This allows for meaningful guidance in a focused, supportive group environment.
Each Adult Lane lesson is 45 minutes long, providing ample time for instruction, practice, and rest without feeling rushed.
