Swim Lessons: Goals for Every Age in San Marcos

Get to know our program and find the right swimming lessons for your student with this quick overview:

• Tadpole & Swimboree, for ages 3-36 months.
  These parent-assisted classes focus on water acclimation with games, songs, and lots of smiles. The goals of these levels include using a swim ring with no tears or fears, assisted back floats, and full submersion sitting or standing.
• Seahorse, for ages 18-36 months.
  This level focuses on independence from a parent in the water. Students enrolled in Seahorse advance after demonstrating goals that include back floating, underwater rollover and float, push from wall + roll over.
• Starfish, Minnow, and Turtle 1, for ages 3 and up.
  The beginner classes for this age group guide students through water acclimation, full, elementary backstroke, and propulsion skills as well as water safety techniques that include safe pool entry and exit, and independent glides to the wall.
• Turtle 2, Shark 1 & 2, for ages 3 and up.
  Our advanced classes build on skills mastered in earlier levels. Students work through the goals of each level to progress from swimming 10 yards of elementary freestyle and backstroke to performing freestyle flip turns and swimming a backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke, and butterfly for 50 yards each.
• Adult classes
  Adult students work towards individual goals based on their skills and abilities.
