Ali always enjoyed swimming in her pool every summer. Ali has had out-of-the-pool teaching experience before, as she worked as a substitute karate instructor for 5 years. She would often lead the class during normal instruction when the head instructor had to focus on one student in particular.
Ali is also a published writer. Right now she’s working on publishing a few poems and a book. However, her main life goal right now is to gain new experiences by living abroad. Ali is best known for her studious nature and is currently studying to learn sign language fluently. She is proficient in signing and often goes to deaf events and surprises the deaf identities with her ability to sign.
Ali is currently a sophomore at UT Austin, pursuing a major in Communication Science and Disorders with the path in Audiology. In the future, she would like to get a master’s degree in Audiology and move to California to be near the Gallaudet University and be part of a bigger deaf community.
