Are You and Your Child Water Safe?

From infants to adults, British Swim School offers premier water survival and swim classes taught by highly trained instructors using our proven fun and gentle methods. Our first priority is making sure children and adults are SAFE around water. Drowning is the #1 cause of death for children 14 years old (50% higher than car accidents), but it doesn’t have to be. Swim lessons reduce the risk of drowning by 88%!

Swim Lessons at Pallottine

British Swim School was founded over 40 years ago on the belief that everyone should learn water safety and survival skills. Our unique methodologies, programs, and techniques are proven to save lives and teach people of all ages how to swim.

Our highly trained, experienced, and friendly swim instructors teach swimming lessons that focus on safety, fun, and developing skills during every single class. Every student is different, and our program is purposely designed to help anyone no matter their age or ability.

Students learn better in small groups: that is why our lessons are limited to 4 students. Students get the benefit of watching each other and instructors focus on each student’s individual needs.

Families & Mixed Level Groups

Limited classes are families or other groups with students in multiple levels. Please contact our office at 314-312-1878 for more information. Please note: • groups must be at least 3 students • parents in the water with a student in the white level do not count as students • we strongly recommend no more than 4 students per group – larger groups will slow progress for all students • if possible, please enroll in the regular group classes – mixing levels in one class slows progress because students cannot learn from each other

What’s so special about British Swim School?

Here’s what sets us apart:

✅  SAFETY is our top priority. We teach our students critical SURVIVAL SKILLS that will help keep them safe in the event of an accident. Drowning is the number one cause of death for children 1-4 years old (50% higher than car accidents), but lessons can reduce that risk by up to 88%.

✅  We teach all of our survival levels WITHOUT FLOATIES or GOGGLES. Our goal is to prepare our students for real-life accidents, rather than relying on equipment they won’t always have.

✅  Our water-survival lessons work for students of ALL AGES. We start as early as 3 months to make sure your little one is ready before they can crawl or walk to the pool. But it is never too late for older children or adults to learn the skills that will give them confidence around the water.

✅  No one has more expertise. British Swim School lessons are based on 40 YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE. We have taught hundreds of thousands of students and currently teach more than 17,000 lessons per week nationwide – and we have seen it all. Every child is different, and our program is purposely designed to help any student no matter the age or ability.

✅  Our COHESIVE PROGRAM builds on itself at every level. The survival skills we teach our youngest beginners become the foundation for proper swimming form and technique as they advance, with no wasted skills such as doggy paddle or bobbing that must be untaught later.

✅  British Swim School instructors are amazingly FRIENDLY and HIGHLY TRAINED. They know that being a great instructor takes more than just knowing the strokes, it takes building a real connection with every student and adapting to meet their individual needs.

✅  British Swim School lessons are GOAL-BASED. Master the goals for your level and move up right away. We will help you and your child understand the goals for your level, so you know why they are important and what is needed do to graduate.

✅  Students learn better in SMALL GROUPS: that’s why British Swim School’s classes are limited to 4 students. Students get the benefit of watching each other while giving our instructors the flexibility to focus on each student’s individual needs.
