Ready to get your kids signed up for lessons with British Swim School Raleigh, but not sure where to start? Here’s a brief overview of what kids learn in our lessons:

  • Tadpole & Swimboree for ages 3 t months.
    In these “Parent & Me” classes, students get acclimated to the water and learn valuable safety skills, including an assisted back float, torpedo rollover, and full submersion.
  • Seahorse, for ages 18 to 36 months.
    Students learn independence from the parent, underwater rollover and float, pushing off from the wall + rolling over, and back floating.
  • Starfish, Minnow, and Turtle 1, for ages 3+.
    Students start with water acclimation and move on to full submersion and supported back float before learning elementary backstroke.
  • Turtle 2, Shark 1 & 2, for ages 3+.
    Turtle 2 students start by focusing on correct leg, arm, and breathing coordination and advance to swimming backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke, and butterfly.
  • Swim Team.
    Students learn to work as a team and compete while also continuing to improve their swimming skills.
