FAQ

What makes the Barracuda Program different from a traditional swim team?

The Barracuda program focuses on skill refinement and confidence, not competition. Each lesson is structured around small groups, personalized instruction, and measurable goals that build technique and endurance without the pressure of meets or rankings.

Is this program only for swimmers who want to join a team later?

Not at all! Many swimmers join Barracuda simply to improve their skills, stay active, and enjoy swimming in a more focused, supportive environment. It’s a great fit whether your swimmer plans to compete or just loves the sport.

How are classes structured?

Each level includes a mix of drills, distance work, and technique correction, led by expert instructors in small groups for personalized feedback.

Will my swimmer get enough personal attention?

Yes! Unlike large team practices, Barracuda keeps ratios low so instructors can provide direct feedback and personal encouragement. Every swimmer gets the attention they need to improve safely and confidently.

Can my swimmer stay in Barracuda long-term?

Absolutely. Many swimmers remain in Barracuda because they enjoy the challenge, camaraderie, and structured learning environment. It’s designed for ongoing development and lifelong confidence in the water.

How do we enroll?

Enrollment is easy! Call your local British Swim School to check availability and reserve your swimmer’s spot in the Barracuda program. Our team will help match your child to the right level and schedule.
