The facts are that Every day, ten people die from unintentional drowning. Shockingly 77% of all drowning deaths in the US in 2010 were adults who were 20+ years old.
Through our Stroke Development and Adult Swim Lessons; British Swim School Hudson Waterfront wants you to be safe in the water by teaching you how to properly Float or tread water, spin around the water and find a way out, safely get out of a pool without a ladder, build your swim stamina, and be able to get air after being in deep waters.
On October 16th, 2019, we will start holding Stroke Development and Adult classes at the Dickinson High School pool, our new large competition size pool.
This pool is the perfect environment for adults and our more ambitious swimmers:
- Longer Lanes: The pool is a full 25-yard Olympic size, with starting blocks and proper lanes.
- Less Crowded: The pool and deck area are more spacious, and there are fewer classes going on at the same time.
- No young children: Not that we don’t love our young ones, but this pool will provide a quieter environment for a more focused practice.
- Lower water-temperature: We keep our other pools nice and warm, which is great for babies and young children. This pool is closer to competition temperature that prevents serious swimmers from overheating.
We will teach on Wednesdays and Fridays and will offer only Turtle 2, Shark 1, Shark 2 as well as Adult classes, and we highly encourage you to make use of this opportunity, especially if your swimmer would like to join the Barracudas one day, our brand new swim team. (The Barracudas will also practice here, watch out for a separate email with more info on our Tryouts soon!)

The pool is located in the building adjacent to the main High School building. There is a free parking lot.
Tuition at this location
$33.50 per class for 2x/week
$39.40 per class for 1x/week
(Same as PS16 and Lincoln Harbor)
