With over 35 years of experience, our swim school motto is Survival of the Littlest. We teach children these important skills beginning at three months of age and up. What is Water Safety Class Like?
Every class has a Survival Week. During Survival Week, students are encouraged to come to class in their clothes!
It’s unlikely that if they accidentally fall into a body of water, your child will already have a swimsuit on, so we want them to feel the weight of the water when they are fully clothed. By learning how to “survive” this experience in a controlled and supervised way, your child will get a realistic idea of what they could be up against. More importantly, they’ll know what to do.
In this class, your child will learn the eight most important safety tips. They’ll also memorize and recite our water safety pledge, which promises the following:
- To never swim alone
- To never play or swim near drains or suction fittings
- To always dive feet first
- To always obey the pool rules
