About Our Swimming Lessons for Adults in Mesa
At British Swim School East Valley, we’re committed to providing adults with the skills they need to stay safe in the water. That’s why our adult swimming lessons cover water safety and survival, including how to swim-flip-swim to safety, exit a pool without a ladder, and tread water for one minute.
In addition to water safety instruction, for one week every quarter, we host “Survival Week.” During this week, we encourage students to wear additional clothing over their suits so they can become familiar with what it feels like to be in the water while fully dressed. Every student is also able to experience a potentially life-threatening situation in a controlled setting.
Adults overcoming fear of pools or water begins with water acclimation. Our instructors are fully trained to assist and support adults as they get comfortable in the pool and work toward full submersion, back floating, and treading water.
Comfortable in the water, but limited to the doggy-paddle? Let our instructors teach you propulsion and basic swim strokes with proper form.Want to take your swimming technique to the next level? We also provide instruction for advanced swimmers, assisting with stroke development, and improving swim times.
