Since 1981, our survival-first learn-to-swim program has helped thousands of families become safer around the water. We offer a variety of swim classes for children ages three months to adults. New students enter a curriculum of water acclimation, water survival, and stroke skills following an initial assessment of age and experience.

Meet the Team Behind British Swim School
British Swim School of Cypress-Spring is locally owned and operated by husband and wife team Ashley and Dustin Yates.
As a former elementary school teacher in Cy-Fair ISD for more than a decade, Ashley is passionate about working with children. As a mother to two boys, she has been in your shoes, raising babies in a world surrounded by water. Her oldest son took to the water effortlessly and needed little help in learning how to float and swim—but he needed constant supervision to make sure he didn’t sneak off to take a dip in the pool without an adult. Her youngest was the polar opposite. He was terrified and very reluctant to be in or near the water, which made it difficult to find activities that were safe and where both children could be happy. Swimming lessons were a lifesaver, literally, for their family.
Ashley is honored to bring the same peace of mind that she felt once both of her children could confidently and safely enjoy swimming to her neighbors in Cypress. Her expertise as an educator extends beyond the classroom as she helps Cypress parents introduce their children to the water with a fun, gentle, and progressive approach that is proven to help even the most nervous swimmers gain the skills and confidence they need to be safe and happy in the water.
