Our program is very different than other programs you might have been enrolled in. We have criteria for safety that other programs do not have, therefore, we require all new students to BSS to enroll in one of our acclimation levels to ensure their safety and their success, they will acclimate to the water as well as our program and learn our class routines and vocabulary. Their first lesson will serve as an assessment, and the instructor may decide to move them up the first lesson to a higher level, but we always err on the side of safety and success for any new students.

Book a complimentary Swim Skills Assessment. In 30 minutes, our certified Instructor evaluates current ability, identifies exactly where to begin & progress can start right away—so every lesson counts from day one. Most families use the assessment to see our teaching approach firsthand—and it’s the reason they choose us.

FAQ

How much do swim lessons cost?

Pricing varies based on how many lessons you take each week and the number of swimmers you enroll. For detailed pricing, please visit your nearest location’s webpage to find all the information you need.

What is the earliest age I can enroll my child?

Swimmers can start as early as 3 months old. British Swim School offers programs designed to build comfort and confidence in the water at every age and every stage, with options for children, teens, and adults.

What kind of programs are offered?

British Swim School offers programs for every age and every stage, designed to help swimmers build comfort, confidence, and skills in the water as they progress. Programs range from early water acclimation to survival skills and stroke development, with a consistent approach that supports smooth progression.

How many students participate in each lesson?

Lessons are taught in small groups to support focused instruction and individual progress. Student-to-instructor ratios vary by program and skill level, with lower ratios in our water survival lessons and slightly larger groups as swimmers progress into stroke development.

How is progress tracked?

Progress is guided by clear program goals that support steady development over time. Swimmers move at their own pace, with instruction tailored to their individual needs and comfort in the water.

Start by finding your nearest location and taking our quick swim assessment, which helps guide swimmers to the right program based on age, experience, and comfort in the water. From there, you can choose a convenient day and time to complete enrollment online, or reach out to your local team for support.
