About our Children’s Swimming Lessons in Novi
At British Swim School of Northwest Detroit, we offer a variety of children’s swimming lessons for all ages, abilities and experience levels. Unlike many of the “traditional” swim schools in Northwest Detroit, our program emphasizes survival swim techniques at every level, which can save a child’s life if they ever find themselves in the water unexpectedly. In addition, we offer small class sizes and provide personalized attention to each student to ensure they’re advancing at their pace – not ours!
Upon enrollment, children are placed into classes based on their age and skill level, with clear goals outlined for each level. We communicate closely with parents and caregivers to understand the skills that each child possess and ensure they will be safe, happy and in a position to progress.
Children move to the next level once they’ve mastered the goals of the preceding class. Some of the skills we teach in our children’s swimming lessons include:
