What Kids Learn at British Swim School
British Swim School is an excellent option for parents looking to structure their children’s days and provide them with lifelong skills that will serve them well into the future.
We offer survival-based swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, from children as young as three months to teens. Using fun and gentle teaching methods, we develop children into safer swimmers through a curriculum of water acclimation, water survival, and stroke development classes.
At our swim school, we offer the following programs:
- Water Acclimation: We focus on water acclimation and building a positive relationship with the water. We’ll introduce your swimmer to water safety skills that they use throughout the entire swim program.
- Water Survival: Swimmers are working on gaining independence in the water while mastering survival skills. Children don’t always learn the skills in order. Every child is different, and we work with them based on their abilities.
- Stroke Development: Once the student has mastered the skills in our survival levels, we work on making them stronger swimmers with an emphasis on proper form. We alternate between different strokes each week from backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and butterfly.
