British Swim School Orlando<\/em> is pleased to announce it has become a Founding Member<\/em><\/strong> of Hope Floats Foundation.\u00a0\u00a0 Together, Hope Floats Foundation and its partners are committed to fundraising and providing scholarships for high-quality swim lessons for low-income children and their families in their local communities.<\/p>\n

The equivalent of thirteen school buses full of children die each year in the United States due to drowning.\u00a0 Studies at the National Institute of Health show that swim lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 88%.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a huge need for swim lessons, and the kids that need them the most \u2013 lower socio-economic level kids \u2013 they\u2019re not getting them,\u201d said Cindy Tonnesen, founder of the Hope Floats Foundation.\u00a0\u00a0 She continued, \u201cWe are saving kids, but there are more we need to reach, and we have the ability and resources to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

“British Swim School Orlando is excited to pay it forward in our community and is excited to support and offer scholarships for swim lessons in our community. We believe that every child needs to learn how to swim, especially in Florida where we are surrounded by water.” said Isabel Sanchez, CEO of British Swim School South Orlando.<\/p>\n

The Hope Floats Foundation scholarship program formally launched in September 2018.\u00a0 With 129 locations across 24 states, Hope Floats and its partner swim schools provide thousands of swim lessons for children who otherwise do not have access.<\/p>\n
