Health & Safety Measures 

We are so excited to begin welcoming our swimmers back to the pool as we begin our re-opening process in select locations. Here, families can find detailed information and answers to frequently asked questions regarding the health and safety measures being implemented to keep our facilities safe and clean.

 

Safety Measures:

  • There will be a gap of 5 minutes between classes
  • Only one family will be allowed per bench
  •  Benches and equipment will be sanitized after every class
  •  Benches will be placed at least 10 ft from each other
  •  Number of toys in use during a class will be limited
  • Only one adult per family allowed on the deck
  • Hand sanitizers will be available for students and parents
  • Students will need to shower (on the deck) before getting in the pool (no more than 1min.)
  • No stickers/ tattoos, or lollipops will be given
  • Our deck staff will be complying with social distancing guidelines by wearing masks at all times
  • Accompanying adults will be required to wear masks on deck area
  • We will take temperature for our customers & staff
  • To keep everyone safe at the deck/pool, deck persons will not be allowed to help with requests / questions on make-ups and absences. Customers will need to send an email for these requests.
  • Changing tents will no longer be available for use, so we do advise parents to bring extra towels as necessary.

FAQ

If we do not resume swim lessons, can I get my March money back/ registration fees back?

Sorry, we cannot give any refunds, however, we can extend your expiration date for March tuition fees by December 2020. No refunds will be given for registration fees. Also, credits are non-transferable.

Will my kid be on the same level?

We will try our best to bring kids on the same level. We will give them homework exercises to build their stamina back on the track, and you can also help them by doing homework together.

Will my class schedule change?

As we all are adjusting to a new system and social distancing, we have to rework our schedule and times. We cannot guarantee you will get the same day and time as before.

Will the water be safe?

Chlorine sure helps to kill bacteria so we are not much worried about water, however for the surrounding areas around the pool we are taking extra precautions to sanitize and keep social distance as much as possible. Proper chemical levels will continue to be maintained in the pools and water tests will be performed twice as often. The CDC reports that there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be transferred through properly maintained swimming pool water.

Are swim instructors going to wear masks?

It’s not mandatory from our side that swim instructors have to wear a mask because they need to properly demonstrate skills to the students. However, our deck attendant will wear a mask.

Will you take temperatures?

All staff and guests will be screened upon arrival at the deck including a temperature check using an infrared (no-touch, temp must be below 100.4) thermometer. If you have had any signs of illness including but not limited to a cough, fever, shortness of breath, if you have been in contact with someone suspected or confirmed as having COVID-19, or if you are confirmed or suspected as having COVID-19, we kindly ask that you do not attend the pool.

What happens to my make-up classes if I decide not to return now?

Your make-ups will be saved under your account, and if you decide to return later you can still use them. You’ll need to enroll as a paying customer to make use of your make-up.

When will swim classes start again?

We are aiming to reopen the second week of June.

Will the class sizes change?

Our class size ratio will remain the same as we will also adhere to the social distancing guidelines in the water.

Will we have to relocate to a new location?

As of now, we do not have that information. Once we have more details, we will be more than happy to share that with you.

Are we (parents) required to wear a mask?

Yes, if you are accompanying your student in the pool you are required to wear a mask.

Are students required to wear masks?

While the students are not required to wear a mask, we recommend students to wear a mask while on the deck waiting for their swim lesson to begin. They can take the mask off during the swim lesson.

Will the tents still be available for changing?

No, tents will not be available for use to minimize the risk of exposure so we encourage everyone to bring a bathrobe / extra towel.
