Meet Skylar, a swimmer from the BSS Pittsburgh franchise<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Age when student began lessons:\u00a0\u00a0Skylar started swimming at 13 as a Tadpole in May 2015.<\/em><\/p>\n

Age of student now:\u00a0\u00a0She will be 3 in March 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n

When you began, what was your swimming goal?\u00a0\u00a0To swim on my face<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What is your first swimming memory?\u00a0\u00a0When I was a baby, I was swimming on my back.<\/em><\/p>\n

What was your instructor\u2019s name?\u00a0\u00a0Mr. Ryan<\/em><\/p>\n

Would you like to teach others how to swim?\u00a0I taught Sissy to crawl and I will teach her to walk and swim, too.<\/em><\/p>\n

What is the most valuable lesson swimming has taught you?\u00a0 Lay on your face and do this (shows us how to do freestyle with her arms)!<\/em><\/p>\n

Parent thoughts:\u00a0<\/strong>We started Skylar in swim lessons when she really began walking.\u00a0 We had plans for a summer vacation and were worried
\nabout how she would do around the water.\u00a0 We wanted to equip her with the skills she would need in the event of an accidental fall into the pool.\u00a0 Her first lesson at British Swim School was, of course, a little scary for her, but she quickly fell in love with the instructors and soon learned to love swim class!\u00a0 2 years later and our little baby is excelling and loving every minute of swimming, she looks forward to Mondays when she gets to swim with her favorite instructor, Mr. Jeremy!\u00a0 We are so happy that we chose BSS; we feel that we have equipped her with a life-long skill, respect, and love of the water. \u2014 Sara and Steve Hazen.<\/em><\/p>\n
