British Swim School Launches in 2018<\/h2>\n

British Swim School, the pioneer of gentle, non-traditional infant water safety programs, will soon have a new home in Williamson County. In January, 2018 the swim school franchise will open for business at Southwind Apartment Homes\u2019 indoor pool.<\/p>\n

British Swim School is currently operating in 180 schools in 20 states. The organization conducted nearly half a million swimming lessons in 2016.<\/p>\n

Safe Keeping for Kids<\/h3>\n

Drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1 \u2013 4. British Swim School\u2019s mission is to help prevent these tragic deaths with a two-step curriculum that teaches children and adults water safety survival skills first and swimming skill development second. Research shows that participation in formal swim programs such as British Swim School can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.<\/p>\n

The new school will serve families in Brentwood, Franklin, Cool Springs, Nolensville and Spring Hill in addition to Smyrna. Parents will have the opportunity to sign their children up for swim classes at the website soon.<\/p>\n

For classes, children are divided up by age into different groups. Classes will also be available for adults and special needs.<\/p>\n

TADPOLE: 3 months \u2013 36 months with a parent\/ six children max, parent-assisted<\/p>\n

SWIMBOREE: 3 months \u2013 36 months with a parent\/ four children max, parent-assisted<\/p>\n

SEAHORSE: 18 months \u2013 36 months\/ four children max<\/p>\n

STARFISH: 3+ years\/four children max<\/p>\n

MINNOW: 3+ years\/four children max<\/p>\n

TURTLE I: 3+ years\/ four children max<\/p>\n

TURTLE 2: 3+ years\/ six children max<\/p>\n

SHARK I: 3+ years\/six children max<\/p>\n
