Our children swimming lessons in Charlotte teach more than swim readiness skills and stroke techniques. While swim skills are a critical part of our program, our focus on survival skills separates us from other swim schools.<\/p>\n

Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional death for children 1 to 14 years of age, and studies show that formal swimming lessons help to reduce the risk of drowning by nearly 90%.<\/p>\n Our children swimming lessons are held in a safe environment with certified professionals and teach swimming strokes, as well as basic water safety techniques like back floating and moving through the water to safety. Back floating\u2014a critical water safety and survival skill\u2014is taught in all beginner-level classes and is a low energy way to stay above water for an extended period. It\u2019s that extra time that will allow a child, when faced with an unforeseen water accident, to either rest then continue to swim or call for help. Learning to swim is more than a lifelong skill\u2014it\u2019s a lifesaving skill.<\/p>\n Our curriculum-based program groups classes by age and ability, and children progress to the next class level once they\u2019ve mastered the previous level\u2019s goals.
