Hudson County Adults Decide To Fight Back!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-393\" src=\"https:\/\/britishswimschool.com\/hudson-waterfront\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/96\/2021\/02\/Pool-2.png\" alt=\"Picture of the Dickinson High School pool\" width=\"952\" height=\"462\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The facts are that Every day,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/homeandrecreationalsafety\/water-safety\/waterinjuries-factsheet.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ten people die<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from unintentional drowning. Shockingly 77% of all drowning deaths in the US in 2010 were adults who were 20+ years old.<\/p>\n<p>Through our Stroke Development and Adult Swim Lessons; British Swim School Hudson Waterfront wants you to be safe in the water by teaching you how to properly Float or tread water, spin around the water and find a way out, safely get out of a pool without a ladder, build your swim stamina, and be able to get air after being in deep waters.<\/p>\n<p>On October 16th, 2019, we will start holding\u00a0<strong>Stroke Development and Adult classes<\/strong>\u00a0at the Dickinson High School pool, our new large competition size pool.<\/p>\n<p>This pool is the perfect environment for adults and our more ambitious swimmers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Longer Lanes<\/strong>:\u00a0The pool is a full 25-yard Olympic size, with starting blocks and proper lanes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Less Crowded<\/strong>:\u00a0The pool and deck area are more spacious, and there are fewer classes going on at the same time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No young children:<\/strong>\u00a0Not that we don&#8217;t love our young ones, but this pool will provide a quieter environment for a more focused\u00a0practice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lower water-temperature<\/strong>:\u00a0We keep our other pools nice and warm, which is great for babies and young children. This pool is closer to competition temperature that prevents serious swimmers from overheating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-392\" src=\"https:\/\/britishswimschool.com\/hudson-waterfront\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/96\/2021\/02\/Pool1.png\" alt=\"Picture of the Dickinson High School pool\" width=\"952\" height=\"712\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We will teach on\u00a0<strong>Wednesdays and Fridays<\/strong>\u00a0and will offer only\u00a0<strong>Turtle 2, Shark 1, Shark 2 as well as Adult classes<\/strong>, and we\u00a0highly encourage you to make use of this opportunity, especially if your swimmer would like to\u00a0join the\u00a0<strong>Barracudas<\/strong>\u00a0one day, our brand new swim team.
