Each month, we focus on a franchisee of British Swim School. With nearly 90 pools nationwide, there are plenty of stories to share from the sea of
Nora Farhat, located in the Metro Detroit area, has been in the swim school business for less than a year. We thought to share her perspective as a new franchise owner.
We asked Nora Farhat these five questions:
1. Why did you become a franchise business owner?
I find owning my own business exciting and challenging.
2. What is your history with swimming?
I have been swimming since I was two years old. We grew up around water. Having young kids, I love being able to bring such an important skill and a great program to my city.
3. What is one goal for 2016?
We want to educate and talk to people of the importance of water safety. It’s not only about learning to swim it’s about practicing safety around water and bringing awareness.
4. What is your favorite get-swimming song?
Any Wiggles song! The kids have so much fun with it.
5. What is one thing we’d be surprised to learn about you?
I have had the opportunity to live in many places around the world, including Colombia, Venezuela, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. I love how all my experiences have influenced me.
