Heemin-ChoEach month, we focus on a franchisee of British Swim School. With nearly 90 pools nationwide, there are plenty of stories to share from the sea of talent we have working with us.
Heemin Cho located in the Chicagoland area, which includes Tinley Park Matteson, Alsip, Waukegan, Round Lake Beach, has been in the swim school business for nearly three years.
We asked Heemin Cho these five questions:
1. Why did you become a franchise business owner?
I started as an employee, and really enjoyed working with children. So, I decided I could make a difference teaching water safety skills and save lives while having fun.
2. What is your history with swimming?
I was never a great swimmer to start with, but I have taught swimming since I was in high school.
3. What is one goal for 2016?
I would like to make British Swim School the go to swim school in Chicagoland area
4. What is your favorite get-swimming song?
I sing “Frozen” songs more than any other songs. It grabs children’s attention pretty fast. Also, parents love the fact that I know the songs word by word and get entertained by it.
5. What is one thing we’d be surprised to learn about you?
I was terrified of water until I was 12. I had two non-fatal submersion experiences when I was little, and I did not learn how to swim until I was in high school.
