Then and Now: Abigail and Joshua Tan

Then-now-Abigail-JoshuaMeet Abigail and Joshua Tan, two swimmers from one of our Maryland locations. Below are their stories, which are not only inspiring, but a joy to read. (We strived to keep the exact language they used when submitting their story. The answers are their own, but truth be told, to see it in their own handwriting made it all the more delightful!) As a bonus, their parent also provided some feedback on their experiences.

I was so happy when I heard about British Swim School. Since she was only 2 years old, other swim schools required parents to be in the water. Not at BSS. They have a great concept, teaching kids how to survive in the water—the most important thing for young age. Great instructors, every single one of them is great in dealing with children. Very family-oriented, loving and caring environment. BSS helped Abigail to be where she is now as a swimmer. BSS is the very first place for her to learn swimming. The result is great! Bravo for BSS.

Even though he came in late to join BSS, he had a great time there. He learned the good technique, swim properly. Very enjoyable lesson environment. It is a perfect place to learn how to swim. Good technique, very structured. The most important thing is how they teach kids not to panic when they are in the water. Clothing week is the greatest part of their program. Joshua has the most perfect backstroke, after he learned it from BSS. I love this place so much.
